@SterneNash Would definitely have their purpose, especially going up against Mammoths and Giants. I have no idea why they don't include spears. Spartan and Zulu warriors both used spear and shield. Don't think there was an army regiment in all history that did not employ spears from one time or another. Even in modern combat at extreme close quarters like in the jungles of Vietnam bayonets were used on SKSs and AK-47s. SOMEBODY AT BETHESDA SHOULD BE FIRED!!!

You know Mike I really wish they would put spears in the game... I never play with shields because of that reason... I'm always a barbarian in these games... why do you think it is they have not thought of this... spears would honestly be a fairly common weapon in a time and place such as this wouldn't you agree?
