Please stop the BS of comparing this with MMA. It's totally different. MMA is sports, this kind of systems not. So it's incomparable. Also, Ryabko'systema is not linked to Spetsnaz in general. In Russia there are many different Spetsnaz organisations. Most of them learn Combat Sambo. Some however do learn stuff which is similar to this. So gather more information before you post your opinion.

The heavy set guy is Mikhail Ryabko. Do you know what his present occupation is? He is the Advisor to the Minister of Justice in Russia. He is currently a Spetz Natz Colonel and trains many Spetz units. He does seminars as well and is open to let anyone try to "drop him with a head kick" ...I've seen many show up and try. Speed=power has nothing to do with the type of impact he is making. It's much deeper than you think. I suggest you try this art with either Mikhail or someone who is qualified

@SeeReason 666 Systema can be very good, all I'm just saying is that people must not be convinced to discover some real new stuff with Systema, JUJITSU can be even more mudredring and killing than this russian stuff, even if I'm still saying that ALSO systema can be very good, I'm not disappreciating it ! But remember, I saw guys with the same years of experience, one was boxing and the other one was doing systema, and the first one was gonna send the second one to th EMergency quite quickly...

@SeeReason666 Traditional Ju Jitsu is one of the most complete arts, it has been created and codified by ancient Samurai to fight emperor's enemies 'til t death, and it is one of the most ancient and respected arts all over the world, Systema learnt a lot from it !!! So you don't need to go to Russia to discover a new FANTASTIC method to fight and self-defense, 'cause everything has already been created an done.. all the rest is just S_P_E_C_U_L_A_T_I_O_N

@SeeReason666 The fact that you never saw boxers almsot murdering karatekas or judokas with a couple of punches shows how "big" YOU THINK to know, so you SHOULD know that systema takes 70-90 % of his techniques from chinese culture (some from Quin-Na and some from Wing Chun, which is a very similar way to punch used also in Systema), and you should ALSO know that doesn't exhist a style better than another one, is the person and fighter to be better that another one.....

@CloudsBeyond If you actually believe that Systema is a joke, then obviously YOU have no real experience in combat. I've been in the Army for 6 years, and Krav and Systema are very effective combat systems. Notice that "combat" part. These are designed to inflict maximum damage, not win a parking lot brawl. This is for severe injury and death. If you want self defense, take Karate. If you want an effective system that works for any size opponent, it's Krav or Systema.

@andyitaliano1 A good boxer would do absolutely nothing to these guys. Boxing is a sport, and if really necessary, you could use it to fight. But this is a COMBAT system. This is not about knock outs, or "winning". This is about severe injury/death. This is for combat, not parking lots.The fact that you even compare boxing to any legitimate martial art show how little you know about fighting, martial arts, and combat.

ARE YOU SURE SPETSNAZ DO THAT ? THEY SAMBO AND JUJITSU, AND REMEMBER : ANY PUNCH IN THAT PART OF THE BODY : UPPER PART OF THE STOMACH, SOLAR PLEXUS IS PAINFUL, YOU DONT EVEN NEED TO DO THIS.... I am going at systema class, but in the end i think that any m.a. is good, it depends who practices it, and there is a lot of arrogant people who thinks to be the best in the world, just cause it is something new... !!!!
