@putthetellyon1 The fact it's for a DVD recorder is no excuse, look at the Sky+ or TiVO remotes, they handle at least as much complexity, including features like their program guides, but they are models of simplicity and good design.
@putthetellyon1 I can live with being that love child. There are worse combinations.
@mupet00000 It does, and as is it gets more complex the challenge of making it easy to use gets harder. I believe most hi-tech is far harder to use than necessary.

That particular remote is for a DVD Recorder (I have the same one!) so no wonder it looks complicated.
