3LHD Bus Terminal Zabica

The construction of the Bus terminal and garage in Rijeka is one of the first steps in the "conquest" of Rijeka port area, which slowly began to open to the city. The site is located between the railway station and the passenger port, in a part of the city that has always been closed to the public. The Port activities are transforming and moving from the city centre leaving the coastal area to the city. Realization of this project will provide a complete removal of car parking on the waterfront.
The new station became much more than just architecture - an urban infrastructure strategy, because the terminal area is surrounded by all types of transport - rail, cargo, port, road and pedestrian footpaths. The project design created a "pedestrian island", accessible from all sides and with access to the bus platforms.
