Several very good points made. Tires are a big factor, what's under the snow matters (like ice), and the driver too. Not sure I agree with the type of truck although I could be wrong. I'm thinking whether it has lockers or is heavier plays a part. Too many factors. I've pulled Fords out with my Chevy, I pulled Chevys out with my Ford. I was always pulling Dodges out with both. (just kidding about the last part)

funny how everyone raggs on dodge, ford has had dodge engines from the beggining, ford is dodge's bitch

sad that a dually is pulling out a truck , duallys suck ass in snow , i have one and it spins tire when there is just a light dusting of snow

@mcorving yea. i need new tires. i find myself skidding slightly in the rain here.

@MrNotch9 i feel your pain! i up until last year I had a 2.2 RWD sonoma with some pretty tired tires. it was unbelievable, i couldnt even parallel park because it would just slide into the sidewalk (the streets where i worked were slanted outward for drainage purposes)

@mcorving central wisconsin. i got a little rwd s10, and i need to put a few hundred pounds in the back just to grip in the winter.
I got my cummins ram stuck in the snow and had to be pulled out buy an fx4 f150 and that truck had absolutely NO problems pulling me through the snow. IN fact I'd put an fx4 against any 4x4 truck out there same tires and all. I sold that fucking heap dodge ram and bought one myself damn good truck

its not the tires or the truck... its the driver.
