Golden Sun: TLA Walkthrough: Part 66 - Magma Rock (pt. 1)

We sail to Yallam to forge some equipment, then we head back to Magma Rock and only begin to work our way through the exterior of the dungeon.

Items found - Rusty Sword (Soul Brand), Big Bang Gloves, Terra Shield, Dragon Helm, Apple, Oil Drop

Levels gained - none [current levels: Felix 32, Jenna 32, Sheba 32, Piers 31, Isaac 31, Garet 30, Ivan 30, Mia 30]

GUIDE:

At this point you'll probably have quite a bit of forgeable material, so I would suggest to go to Sunshine's and take care of that first. You'll be getting more forgeable stuff at Magma Rock, so go there since it's your next dungeon anyway. This place has a pretty awesome theme for you to enjoy, but still be on the lookout for new items and djinn. You'll notice that you cannot go through the interior yet, so you'll have to find another entrance by scaling the rock (typical). Also, look for a Phoenix in combat since they give TONS of experience points. You're looking at about 4000 exp. points for one battle, which is really good at this point in the game.

@Wyvernmatt Yeah, but the fastest way to do it is to go in and out of the sanctum. That's what I usually do.

how did u get burst? was it from tranfer?

@asyancutie no, Burst is from Tundaria Tower.

IMPORTANT: When you go to Yallam, remember to get the Masamune too. Use Force on the stump next to the smithy's house, cyclone on the leaves (or scoop in the middle) and you'll get access to that chest there (Masamune is inside, best Jenna/Piers weapon)

@zipdog12 when you forged the Orihalcon you got big bang gloves. You may already know this but something much better is Excalibur although it is rare.

@zipdog12 when you gave the forgeable item to Sunshine you went in the inn and spent some money. What i normallly do is enter the city on to the world map and go back in to get the stuff/
