  • You've given us a reason to smile again, Alan. I love the little interpolation in the middle of this song. "Embraceable you"... and that nice bass solo. What a charming arrangement, and a great performance. Bravo!

  • Thanks a million. Re: Embraceable You, it seemed to make sense. The New York Chimes had a motto printed on their business card -- "All the notes that fit, we sing." Works every time.

  • Alan - that was fantastic. I loved it! Don't know if you remember me from NCHB (Tim Fagan), but I've missed singing with you for years now! If you make it back down - you've got to bring your 'ax' along! :-) You should get a spot on the show!

Keep it up - looking forward to more!

  • Hi, Tim. I remember you most from a discovery you made -- I think it was in Lover Come Back To Me, but I'm not sure -- where if you swipe up 1/2 instead of down as written, we rang a whole other, unexpected chord. We must've sung 4 measures ten times in a row before we stopped being giddy and were able to finish the song. Very cool.

Thanks for the kind words and good memories.

  • Hey, hey, Trochee: Your double Dactyl thinks thou (or at least your playing) swell, witty, sweet and grand. Great stuff...congrats!

  • Thanks, darlin', I always appreciate the encouragement. Ya know, I'm getting to like this TubeThing. I can't wait to make up some new duets using this snazzy equipment.

  • "You're sure to find

    Happiness, and I guess

All those things you've always pined for"

Dactyl and I (Trochee) are working on a group of shows. Maybe we can work in "La Panda e Immobile" from Rigoletto! Stay tuned.

  • Great playing and creative ideas what a pleasure to hear you playing after all these years ROCK ON!

    Jerry

  • Nicely done. Base run was good too. Heard it just fine.

  • Quite pleasing!! However, 11 minutes, 5 seconds shy of your allotted 15 minutes of fame. I look forward to you fulfilling on your fame!
