@militantrebell You got that right! it's a lot like dancing where UKE knows his part and NAGE leads him, which is the safest way to train. Now, imagine somebody like you that have no idea how the body moves, how to fall properly without being hurt; once you face a NAGE and don't know how to dance like us, you are done!!! face in the ground! You will never see any master of Aikido in a "fight" because Aikido is for self defense.. not to fight, fight is not a principle of Aikido. That's why doesn't exists tournaments, just demostrations.
And yes look like a dancing really xDDD I think the same thing.

It is hard for most to understand. If an attacker is reckless and is grasped and manipulated by an Aikido practitioner the following occurs: torque on wrist and elbow result in dislocation if they do not comply by flipping and if they are not masters of break-fall they may be injured or submitted. The "fall-guys" are masters of doing so safely and are also graded. Watch it again.

nice looks more like dancing to me where both sides know the steps. honestly i want to see one of these masters in a real fight
