Go Navy! You can talk about the other services til the cows come home, but it is a water planet and the lion's share of the worlds commerce goes by ship!!

@shredjoe1 I meant Ark Royal in WW2

@jjrr488Alternative Ark Royal... UK proved conclusively that she packed the biggest punch. That's why the US developed the Nimitz class.

@Weinserberg In WWII the British Royal Navy's Ark Royal proved that Aircraft Carriers are the pre eminent warships. Big guns are irrelevant if an aircraft can attack you from 100 miles out and the carrrier can control 1000's of miles of airspace. The Iowa class have been withdrawn because they are just too big to risk 25 miles from shore.

that's the most fatal ships , you must include da Super Yamato! A never-existing project , four 46,0 cm Main guns ( two front and two back ) , 6 15,5 cm Main guns ( one front , one back , two left , two right ) and lots and lots of High Angles guns + 40 mm Machine guns ! Its a hard demon....if it was been constrocted,,,

Im definitely an Army man but its undeniable that a true show of power is through a countries navy. Bless You and I would love to have thanked your uncle for his service

if we had gone down with the combined naval power of britain france italy AND the kriegsmarine hitler could tell america were to get off in the atlantic, so you learn your facts before you go slagging off the country that with americas help gave up its empire and its power to save the world from nazi tyranny
