My concern exactly. Most of us use cases and having to take the iphone in and out to use their cradle to make it work effectively would be a problem.
What about Sygic or Navigon, do these require a c cradle to work effectively?

did you use the docking holder. I think he says that that is important, because it enhances the GPS.

I have an iPhone 3GS and I have purchased the TomTom application. Result: the application is performing poorly, failing to lock on to GPS reliably even when the Maps application has my position perfectly pinpointed. At this stage I think it is fair to conclude that the TomTom application is not utilizing the built in GPS effectively. Avoid this application until it is patched!

But if you were to use your Iphone for GPS navigation, you wouldnt hold it on your hands while driving, so you would need to place it in a cradle.

Most of us use cases for our phones. Will I have to take it out of the case to put it in the cradel? His would sux!

Tubby the dude said that it enhances the GPS signal. My guess is that you could probably use Tomtom on the iPhone without the cradle but I would personally prefer the enhanced GPS... also charging the phone would be neat as iPhone sux power like nothing else!

do you really need the carkit... does the app work well by itself?? ive heard them say it makes it more accurate or something... what if im holding the iphone as someone else's drives....
