I remember getting a lot of detentions at school (convent) for singing .. I was way too joyful for their liking :-) Good thing I never listened at school :-)

A: Make them feel guilty.
I'm a lapsed Catholic, and that just kind of summarizes a lot of my past experience :) But I left the church at a young age, maybe 17, because I didn't like the messages I was receiving. It was very natural for me to gravitate to the message of Abraham. It just makes more sense to feel joy in life, and to appreciate beauty and abundance. I really don't think Jesus walked around with a scowl on his face.
