Vellum Artzine was started with the intention of bringing emerging artists to the masses in a printed format. With the release of issue number 5, it was time to take it further and show some of the artists that have appeared in a more mainstream gallery/club environment that would bring in not only art lovers but music people as well. Because of my background in music journalism, I look for a certain type of artist that not only is creating amazing art but is also taking the crucial elements of pop culture and edge to another level. I find all the artists that have appeared (although very different from each other) possess that all important x-factor that can appeal to a wide range audience.

Are there some kind of 'safety switches' in it to keep it from ... over-reacting to itself? I'm asking because of how you answered Mistraker especially when you used the words 'chain reaction.' I keep thinking of another chain reaction inside of the reactor at Chernobyl and how it got out of hand and quickly too. Thanks :)

when the sensor is triggered the motor will go for up to about 7 seconds (if there is 7 seconds of motion) after that, it turns of for a couple of seconds, then will go again if there is still motion to trigger it. If everyone leaves the room, it eventually stops moving.

I like this. It's almost like a living organism. Slowly moving on its own, reacting to what's around it. I'd love to have something like this hanging from my ceiling. Good work.
What causes it to move, by the way? Motion sensors?
Mistraker 3 years ago 3
Yeah, each link has a motion sensor. It can see itself move too, so it falls into weird chain reaction behavior patterns.
