[Notes:handout astin photo; aptn video of dr office] Doctor Phil Astin was charged Thursday in a new 175-count federal indictment with conspiracy and improperly dispending drugs. Astin is accused of giving patients hundreds of illegal prescriptions for drugs. But none of the drugs mentioned were steroids. Authorities had previously said Astin prescribed a 10-month supply of anabolic steroids to wrestler Chris Benoit (ben-WAH') every three to four weeks for a year leading up to the killings. An attorney representing Astin denied the charges. Officials say Benoit strangled his wife with a cord and then used a choke hold to strangle his 7-year-old son in their Atlanta area home last June. He then reportedly placed Bibles next to their bodies before handing himself on a piece of exercise equipment. At the time, tests showed Benoit had roughly 10 times the normal level of testosterone in his system. Some experts believe using the hormone can contribute to paranoia, depression and violent outbursts known as "roid rage." But authorities have never publicly linked the Benoit killings to steroid use. And the wrestler's father believes years of head trauma his son suffered in the ring contributed to the killings. ___ ___, The Associated Press.

I think it was a combo of way too much Hormones and the Brain trauma he had suffered, a report i saw said his post-mortem brain scan showed very bad scaring damage prolly due to the Diving head butts even Harley Race wishes he had never invented it and that people would cease to use it. its all just a waste of a great grappler and athletic showman and 2 other lives that where ended because of bad choices by doctors, promoters and Chirs himself.

HELL naw chris benot was set up how an the hell could anyone do something like this i think maybe a former wrestler did it using the choke hold on his son an strangling his wife then placing the bibles by their bodies leaving chris no choice but to kill himself idk but it looks like a set up to me but til then its gonna be a mystery R.I.P chris benoit luv u always!
