@PfhUkJiu101 They must already have been numbed by the horrors. If the others stopped, they'd be the next casualties. Murphy's law of war states, don't think about the bullet that has your name; rather, worry about the round that says, "To Whom it May Concern" (incoming fire has right of way, friendly fire isn't). The explosions in the film were killing indescriminately. Everyone was already carrying their life's possessions. I doubt they could afford to stop except for own family.
