One more thing, I've driven a ski set up for racing. At high speeds - well over 70, it is very difficult to stay on the ski. We actually had special pads glued into the foot wells, to lock you feet into the boat, so you could stay on it.
Note how when he nails it, it takes a full 2 seconds to get up on plane ~ 8mph! . If you want the boat to plane, you put your weight forward. A true performance boat also has a control to tilt the jet. Your boat is stock and you don't even know how to ride it
