Basically all psych evaluations are self serving. They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder well mental illness is in the mind of the controller.

Thank you for bringing this valuable and vital information to the attention of the public. Good job!

@mntleo2 Same thing happened to me.. I had one ask me if I was afraid of my then spouse.( I had numerous reports with the police for DV) I said yea and the gal said I had paranoia and anxiety for no reason.. I had a Bipolar diagnosis because I would be down for several days and then feel better so I would get stuff done. No medical tests done! Later found out I had Fibro and needed medical care.

@SpringChatty most clinicians have to take the tests before they get their degree. I was reading an article about how over 50% test for borderline personality disorder. don't know how true this is .. but I could beleive it!

@PeaceOverPride he family courts are civil and the 5th amendment does not apply as yo are not charged with a crime. You can take the tests "under protest" with a written explanation. I would use the facts from this talk.

I find this talk very enlightening. I was diagnosed w/ about 4 different "mental issues" over the yrs because I always felt ill n would go through "busy times" when I felt great. This was noted by a neighbor n she called CPS. After my divorce n loss of custody I was diag w/fibro. The last eval I had was for custody of my kids n the dr interviewed me n did all the "tests" n said that I never had any mental issues n told the court he only did the tests because the court required them.

What if the Judge orders a psych eval and I don't take it? will he go against my 5th ammendment right, hold me in contempt and become liable for a civil 1983? any opinions?

They want people to act out they choose them 1 for even talking about this pot once they target them for doing some,'RIDICULOUS: 'Arousing thing the media run's a story not for anything positive or to help our country but to tear it down! 'Like people abused by scp any of them that are targeted for stupid things are used and they fail to see it the real reason not only to take their babies! Though that is the goal but to get these families to act out just because they drive them crazy!prison

In the name of Family Preservation and TRUE CHILD PROTECTION, PLEASE spread the word and personally stand up and be counted against CPS and court incompetence and corruption during the Nationwide Protest August 12th (in 39 days from 7/3) in front of your own county's family courthouse. The next child you save may be your own.
Of course it is in the law because they and their colleagues wrote the laws that now burden our families and destroy our ability to defend ourselves. How about they put those thrown hands down on their desks and re-write the laws so that fairness and equity can once again be applied.

Understand that everything is lawful in family courts. As a civil law based corporation, "rights" such as Constitutional are pretty much null and void. This is one of the ways the legal system has gotten around the Constitution is by creating this brand of Civil law and loosely nit rules. When someone complains about the injustice, they act like a bunch of dumb blondes, throw up their hands and say, "It is out of our hands because it is in the law."

Are you involved in CPS? It boils down to what is in your laws and court rules. Here in WA according to the law you can refuse a psych evaluation but let me tell you, better be doing everything else right.

The $5000 is a projected rate that you may have to pay for an evaluation where the clinician will have to go to court and possibly consult his/her own attorney. A straight no frills evaluation costs the state about $800 but you will be charged at least double that.

I have a link for practice tests on my website, washington state extended families. Know that the questions are trick. it is better for them to write up that your answers are questionable, then to give them ammunition. Answer the questions as though you never had a bad thought in your life. What are they going to do about it? They can't do anything.

Understand, though, that they will try to get you on family history. Be careful what you share. As far as they are concerned, your entire history was model. They cannot base an evaluation on hearsay. They can say there are "indicators" but they can't give you a diagnosis based on a bunch of hot air.
