@Zeckellin First off, anything west of the Mississippi was Chicago territory, so Vegas, LA, KC, all Outfit guys running the show & answering to the Old Man back home.

NY & Boston obviously have experienced corruption on many different levels, but Chicago is like nothing we've ever seen before: complete death grip on every single level of the city's infrastructure.

@ConiferTreez You may be right - but I have no inside information on that issue and have read no revelatory books on those cities. Maybe you have - but I doubt if things were much different - no doubt similar tactics were used to get similar results. The basic question would be: "Why would New York or Boston be any different?" or Kansas City or Los Angeles or Las Vegas . . . One of the major major corruption factors was Prohibition - that created organized crime as we know it today.
