This is a science fair project made by Richie O. It shows how different amounts of dishwashing liquid affect the visibility of isolated DNA from a strawberry.

  • @X122er2469 I need to know to!

  • I found out. For all of the people who need to know that, he put 10mL of rubbing alcohol.

  • How much alcohol did he put in it?

  • @p3r0uE he never said he would use salt thats waht i thought he said but he actually said SOAP not salt

  • So what was the problem or the question that he answered?

  • Can Someone please tell me how to put this into any sort of graph

  • @ThePorda k, thank you very much! :)

  • @p3r0uE Looks like he didn't, I didn't notice the first time watching it. Salt precipitates the proteins and carbohydrates away from the DNA in solution. While it improves the results of a DNA isolation experiment like this, I guess its not imperative. This fella managed to get some good results without our 'ol pal salt.

  • @ThePorda When does he use salt? I haven't noticed it...

  • @ThePorda thank you very much!!!!!!!!!!!!!
