Kirk: Space...the..final frontier..these are the voyages of the starship Enterprise
Picard: and its continuing mission. to explore strange new worlds.
Kirk: to seek out new life and civilization
Both: To Boldly Go Where No Man Has Gone Before.

The beginning of this theme fit well with the grandeur one would expect from Picard and Kirk teaming up. Too bad the movie was so lame.

Great Movie! I love this piece of the soundtrack; it recalls something like the cavalry riding to the rescue. Very Star Trek! Let Kirk go! He was an over bearing stuffed shirt that had become a caricature of himself, without having the humanity that made his original character shine. It was his time to go. I do agree that it would have been cool for him to see the Big E Model-D, and how Starfleet had moved on to include Klingons. I imagine they brought him back for proper burial.

I remember the music from the Next Generation being in the credits somewhere??
Or is that only the rescored one?

@Tmartin1438 and somewhere khan is laughing about that
-
2 things could have been done better, kirks death, the Enterprise Ds death
-
should have had cloaked shuttle to beam kirk up so that he wouldnt fall
-
@Tmartin1438 If it was me I'd have been to lazy to do even that much. I'd have just pulled his shirt up over his face and rolled him down the hill.
-
@borghome he buried him in a shallow grave under some rocks. Wont take too long for the coyotes to tear up the greatest captain in starfleet's history!

Movie was a disapointment. I was hoping Kirk would have some kind of interaction with the Enterprise D and the new crew. I wanted to see Kirks reaction to Worf serving on the Enterprise....
