I somewhat agree with you but heals, make up, weave, fake nails and other materialistic things do not equate beauty. I believe beauty is only skin deep to each it's own.. Dressed up or dressed down my man will love me, that's not love if your embarrassed by the person your with. That's what's wrong with society....

many women repeating this "beauty is skin deep", this is true but where is the line? I mean my natural state is to have armpit hair...that is how God made. And the media cannot force me to shave right? WTF is this?!

Its sad because no matter what is said, women will have a reason an excuse or even a bible passage to justify this issue. Beauty is skin deep, beauty is skin deep...beauty is skin deep. True love is blind i suppose.

A lot of people have come on here to twist her message and it is so frustrating. Women, esp black women just don't want to learn or be constructively criticized. She is not forcing you to wear heels, or paint your face. Just look your best in whatever u feel comfortable in. We are so quick to talk, yet when his ass leaves for another woman (who has bothered to look good) we turn into monsters. Men are human, they like pretty things too...at least TRY.

@MegaCutie86 Nobody is saying you should get fake nails and fake hair or lashes... just don't go out in ya damn pyjama pants and bathroom slippers. Women are so quick to label others as materialistic when we don't look as good. I absolutely despise fakeness, and yes my BF will love me natural (which i am) :) but i still look my BEST in that natural state. I dress well, i scrub up well....even in those sandals, capri pants and afro.

If i smell i'd embarrass him, its not the fakeness
