This is a stop animation film created as an educational tool to inform people about bone fractures, the process of repairing a fracture during surgery, as well as the healing process that takes place after a surgical operation. In this case, recombinant bone morphogenetic protein (rhBMP) is applied at the fracture zone to aid in the healing process. In the body, BMPs recruit osteoblasts, which in turn build bone. The idea behind applying rhBMP at a fracture zone is to shorten the healing period.
