I share some insight as to what really went on with the DBZ music some 9 years ago and who Mike Smith really is.

The main point of interest is the inside jacket of a Special Limited Edition of the first Best of DragonBall Z CD.

Some additional notes:

Trevor Sias and Ben Kasparek actually only worked on those Limited Edition CDs I believe. Trevor is on youtube! He's on my friends list.

Bud Guin is the guitar player Faulconer Productions hired to do the main theme's leads. He hadn't started using me for guitar yet.

(for those of who were interested in the bonus clip I had in the old version of this video....this time I included the entire thing ^^ It's called "Veggie Freezer")

  • hey please tell me who is responsible for: vegeta hells bells theme, cells themes all of them especially imperfect cell sinister slow synth with whiplashes , I WANT TO GO AND BOW TO THEM

  • @sivko23 Mike Smith and myself. Hells Bells original = Mike, later added guitar(CD version) = me. Perfect Cell = Mike. Imperfect Cell is mostly me (Check out imperfect Jam if you haven't seen it) "Cell's Slow Theme" = Mike.

  • @M0rganstudios Thanx, it may sound corny but i cant describe emotions i felt through this music in my life and in big part it really influenced me to start to think of myself as a musician today i play guitar pretty well and learning more about beautiful music every day, thank you guys for help making my childhood what it was

  • @sivko23 :) Thank you man, these are the kinds of compliments that mean the most to me. Warms my heart. Good luck in your music!

  • Veggie Freezer sounds like a remix of "Vegeta Fights Frieza"

  • @ThatMothersdayman "Faulconer Productions Music" wrote the music. Mike, Julius and I are all three composers who responded to job offerings of "assistant" composer positions. We were part of "Faulconer Productions Music". Bruce wrote some tracks yes...but...ugh...I get so sick of beating around the bush afraid he's gonna sue for spilling "trade secrets". The fact is Mike Smith deserves more credit than anyone. We all did a helluva lot more than perform. We are composers.

  • Scott can you help please question may seem kind of silly but ... , which instruments are in this cell theme youtube . com/watch?v=96Ihiqa0dGM at the beginning like echoes and whiplashes are these samples or a synthesize of some sort?

  • @M0rganstudios Ok never mind then. Keep on making awesome music. I also like Z Music, especially the new Vegeta theme The Dark Prince!

  • @YoungWolve1 Sorry, probably wouldn't be cool of me to publish that without Mike's permission.

  • @M0rganstudios I love the dragonball z music! I can't seem to find Mike Smith on Facebook. Could you give me a link?

  • Scott allow me to post this, one of my favourite moments in DBZ :)
