Gear // Rocktron Midi Mate // Fractal Audio Axe FX Tutorial

A first attempt rough attempt to put together a quick tutorial on using the Midi Mate along with the Fractal Audio Axe FX. I wanted to get this out fast as a lot of people have recently got their Axe FX since the increased production. Until FAS gets out the dedicated Foot controller a lot of you guys are using the Midi Mate as a stop gap. Hope this is helpful.

@guitaart Awesome! Glad you found it helpful! I've used a few different MIDI controllers since then, but this one did start me off with the whole MIDI thing. Check out the controlling MIDI devices from Logic / Ableton video I have, that is pretty awesome if you ask me! ;-) Please subscribe as more videos are coming!

so if i buy a midi mate and an axe fx and i just wanna do bank mode all I've got to do is set the offset to 1 in my IO on the axe fx and then what?

Hi, very good video.  Is the Midimate totally programmable, so you can press say, button 6, and it send CC102 with a value of 127, for example?

@0ddb0d Great vid. What other midi controllers have you used? I'm thinking about upgrading my Hughes & Kettner Switchblade midi controller to something with a screen. Just to certain what to go for. New CAE looks good. Probably pricey.

In bank mode can you use the tap tempo function?
