In June 2011, 8 high school students from Bethesda, Maryland traveled to Buyobo, Uganda to assist with teaching at the local primary school and preparing 3 new classrooms for students at the school. The high school interns taught math and English at Buyobo PS and also helped paint the new classrooms and build bookshelves for the school's library.
Erin Kelly, a 2010 graduate of the University of Michigan, traveled to Uganda with the 8 high school interns. She stayed for 6 weeks assisting with the interns' projects as well as doing multiple interviews with borrowers and loan program staff members. She produced this video and more will be coming soon!
