This kata was developed by Yasuhiro Konishi and Kenwa Mabuni, under the guidance of Morihei Ueshiba. This kata was created specifically for the purpose of teaching self-defense techniques to women in the 1930s.
This kata is rather short... actually very short. So compact. Anybody can explain the key principles behind the techniques in this kata? Since it was created specifically for the purpose of teaching self-defense techniques to women, it's kinda hard to identify the main advantage or the principles that emphasize self-defense techniques to women just by watching the kata. Can somebody enlighten us in this? I'm really curious about this. Thx.
Osu. well done...

Who said that the original was changed? Mabuni and Konishi created this together. Aoyagi is Mabuni's version and Seiryu is Konishi's version.

Why?
