You should have used her live recording of the aria from the late 80s. It's wonderful. This recording does not show her off very well.

You may be right but the record you have in mind is available on her site.

Furthermore, I don't think she should be shown off just to please certain people (one can find many things in any of her interpretations if able) that, I'm sure of it, would critisize any record.

I hope this soothes your preoccupation, I know your issue with the beautiful voices.

I meant no offense, amlirco. And I don't mean to get in the middle of your disagreement with other posters. Also, please don't treat my post as if it were coming from the "enemy camp". I do not have a "preoccupation" with beautiful voices and there is no reason to get personal. But I do think that beautiful tone and intonation matter, and this is why I prefer Raina's earlier recording.

We are what we are in each part of our lifes and every interpretation of a great artist deserves to be respected; after all they are not so many.

Ha, ha... L'ho scritto con intenzione e ho ricevuto la reazione che aspettavo. Ma lei e' molto divertente, e' molto facile prevedere le sue reazioni, ha la mentalita' tan trasparente: nata per detronizzare i bluff canori... Ancora una volta, meglio vicario della Divina che un esperto falso che non vede further then his nose.

Non ho avuto bisogno di cercare nessun articolo. Non farei questo sforzo per illuminarla, visto che lei gia' sa tutto. C'e' tutto sul sito della Divina.

Ancora un consiglio per lei, se mi permetta: di lingue sa, ma faccia un sforzo per capire la filosofia che si nasconde dietro. C'e' una differenza molto profonda tra sapere e la sapienza.
