Filipino Scientists are aware of what could be the scenario on 2012 - The Galactic Alignment of our planet, our solar system, sun and the center of the Milky Way Galaxy. In an interview with Nonoy About, weather forecaster of Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical and Services Administration (PAG-ASA) said, they are aware of the 2012 Galactic Alignment as predicted by the Mayan Calendar. But the astronomers could make more explanations about it. He also confirms of the gradual Polar Shifting, causing some extreme weather disturbances on Planet Earth. About says we expect to experience EXTREME WEATHER DISTURBANCES such as destructive storms and devastating floods not just because of the Global Warming but the gradual changes of Polar Orientation.

@ThePianaman God is in control of everything. God had a purpose that's why He sent His only son, Jesus to die on the cross, to be the atoning sacrifice for all mankind. Because of God's love for all of us, that He didn't want to just wipe out all of us from the earth because of wickedness, He provided a way for man to survive. He gave us a chance to prove ourselves that we are not all wicked.You are correct that God doesn't need anything from any of us. He just loves us.

I really like the mayans & their intelligence! & they could not predict the Christians would come & slaughter them! as they did! (some people!) but even Major Jenkins who came up with the Galactic alignment even says it started in 1998 & takes 36 years to go through! if that happened at half way we would have lost 50% or more of the planet! ok! if thats true we wont be halfway through (50% lost) until 2016! so even by the person who came up with it says not till 2016! 2012 the beginning? or not!
