Acting with lightning speed, the Democratic-led House has approved a bill to slap punishing taxes on big employee bonuses from firms bailed out by taxpayers.

This is something the Republicans would never do, because they're pigs that only help the rich scam as much money as they can get.

Hmmmm!gas up 100% and going higher,utilities up 200%,health insurance up about 300% which in turn is sending all this high end employment overseas,freclosures the highest since the depression and going higher,bitchin' now about immigration after Goofy Reagan was bringing 'em in by the busload to break labor,I think i'll vote Republican

If Reagan was such a great president than how come his approval ratings were so low during his actual term in office? Look it up! Also, his economic policies left America with a crushing debt just to help out the richest 1% of America. His foreign policy was admirable, but now Republicans spit in his face by refusing to engage our enemies in diplomacy like Reagan smartly did.

@TheCaliCapitalist Wow thats a very ignorant statement. You're saying that EVERY Republican wouldn't vote for the voting rights act. Most Republicans are white middle Americans. Therefore you are using a stereotype to put them all in the same block. That's kind of ironic since liberals demonize anyone for stereotyping some kind of minority group. Don't know if you are a liberal but I'm just saying. I guess it's okay to stereotype non liberals or white middle Americans. They dont count.

Lincoln was a representation of the republican party back in that time. The current republican party is just a spoonfeeder for the rich and powerful. They are all bought by big businesses.

The democratic party is suffering from the same thing, though in lesser scale.

Do you honestly think that the US government is providing even close to enough welfare so that people can sit at home and be lazy? How deluded, I'm a dane and our welfare state is the biggest in the world and people CAN have a decent life without a job, but are people staying home and staying lazy because of it? No they aren't, people seem to like to have something to do because it creates a social and more economically decent life for them.
