It was an amazing sunny day for underwater shooting, in Reykjavik Iceland, in hot natural water. Setting out to shoot a contemporary dancer dancing underwater was going to be a challenge. My waterproof bag worked like magic. It took some bad shoots until my fingers could work the buttons under the plastic. I forgot my goggles, but the best solution was to put the camera in the water and hope for the best. I was not sure what I was looking for but the waters dynamic moment soon revealed to me what images I needed. The Icelandic water is hot and I was afraid the camera would break. The water became my teacher and I had to learn its tutorials quick. This was the last day the pool was going to be open. Dancing in hot natural water watched by families of Reykjavik relaxing was a bit odd.
It is wonderful that the pool is for free and they let us try out some shots. I may not be making money doing this but making a lot of great memories. It was great teaming up with Guðrún Óskarsdóttir.
