Cheers. No, you can`t plug an external mic in...i suppose you can mount the cam inside your helmet if you want to, as it`s tiny.

don`t know about the Zi8, sorry.I know this is tiny in comparison, but don`t know about the video quality of the Zi8.

g92, the battery lasts 90 mins. 230, the picsio comes with basic editing and an uploader for you-tube.

Hi, i mounted it using a tank mount.
It goes on the filler cap using 4 bolts.
