Nov, 25, 2011 morning (CAT) was the last Djuma Safari Drive with Marc and Tara. They were out and about for almost three and a half hours. The batteries and the diesel ran out at the same time. It was quiet drive, they reminisced about previous drives, sightings, the highs and lows of events and laughed a lot.
I think the elephants, leopards, lions, 'Teddy' all knew a change was in the air, so they hid out of sight..
Marc made a closing thank you (once the dung beetle left his hand) to all involved in he drives, all the fans and hopes we may meet again. Tara said little. I think she is really going to miss her place in the bush.
Many thanks to Jurie and Pippa Moolman, Peter Braat and all the presenters, camera people and folks behind the scenes who made all this possible. What a ride.
