Also, even at age 12, I seriously questioned the "moral" of the story -- pick up cigarette smoking and dress provocatively to "win the guy"? Ugh. At least, that's how I remembered it.
Obviously you weren't (I assume) the script writer or director.
It's amazing how clueless and thoughtless Hollywood can be some times.
But your reflections now are healing.
(While I wonder if "Grease" could be edited to remove kid-harming stuff.)

T. y. so much for creating this lovely video/message. SERIOUS props to you for your extremely honest & thoughtful comments, & expression of regret, about a bullying scene in "Grease." I also want to say that you are still utterly adorable! I saw G. twice, with my friends, when it was at theaters, in '78. I was c. 12. I haven't seen it since. It was entertaining, but it was also deeply disturbing to me bec. there was explicit anti-gay stuff re "Eugene" + how he was treated. V. v. unfortunate.
