The Down Side of the Canadian Healthcare System

This proves what I've been saying for years. Canadian healthcare isn't as great as what these healthcare reformers want you to believe. Granted that our healthcare system is too dependent on insurance companies and that's too expensive, but that doesn't other systems work! Research before you condemn.
The Canadian healthcare is free, woohoo....BUT it costs tax payers a lot. Canadian pay through their noses in taxes. Plus, because it's free, there's no incentives to improve on service for the patients. People are dying on the waiting list and doctors don't care to give good service beause they're paid just the same, no matter what. When will people learn socialism doesn't work?

I was about to get angry at this video, and then I realized it was FOX "news".

This is such nonsense, I'm a 34 year old canadian and i've had several surgeries over the past few years. I have never "waited" an unreasonable amount of time. When I was diagnosed with a brain tumour at the beginning of May 2009, my surgery was scheduled four weeks later. It was postponed once by three days because the surgeon had to perform an emergency procedure on a car accident victim. Totally understandable as our system works on an urgency basis.

and yet there is a complete blind eye turned to the 40 MILLION (1/5 Americans) who cant afford health insurance in the USA. makes you wonder how many americans die cause they are fucking poor! but this 1 example from Canada proves why good ol' USA is still number one.

And one more thing, you can pay for it in Canada, there is private health care. quick google search will show you that. come on fox, this is bad even for you

It takes more than one example for our healthcare system to be flawed, more like several thousand. In terms of healthcare attention we Canadians help the very young first with problems and deal with older people like this guy later. Why because he's lived a long life by now and he's stronger than children are. We don't give attention to those with the most money. We give it to those who need and deserve the attention most.

Lets see I'm Canadian I've gone to the hospital many times wait 30 minutes doctors do there job I'm released I get no bill in the mail no legal threats I'm not dishing out ridiculous amounts of money on insurance We don't need to get a second mortgage's for a simple surgical procedure and I don't believe the idiot on the so called phone was from Canada I myself have a heart problem and get the best treatment and medicine without the stress of how i'm going to pay. A study at Fairleigh Dickinson University showed people who watch no news whatsoever are better informed than people who watch Fox News. Seriously. Use a reputable source next time you attempt to "prove" something.

this video is absurd and glamourized with FOX's tacky over the top style. I completely believe in Canada's health system. It is universal and puts humans on an equal plane, therefore life is not dictated by money. They ask at the end of the segment how many people died because of waitlist, but I ask how many americans suffered because they could not afford health, which is a right that all humans should have.
