@bigge525 This video is not from the world finals nor is the DMC strictly for professionals. I think DJ D knows why she placed 8th (lack of technicality in her scratching and juggling). Killa Jewel or Shortee never competed in the DMCs, period. For you to say DJ D is only up there because of her looks is BS. As a former DMC US Champion and multiple World Final judge, I feel you HAVE to cater to the audience, not entirely, but if you don't, then it becomes a DJ nerd fest and theres no fun in that

@djidee Your right.. Since when should the most skilled professionals be given some priority in the professional world competition. lol Thank you for showing exactly what is completely wrong with the scene. Women want to be treated the same as the guys in competition, and then when they are, half of them get mad about it... Never said she isn't talented, just said you can't expect equal access when you don't have the skills to back it up. Guy dj's without world class skill are tossed immediately

@bigge525 I wholeheartedly disagree. You don't need superior skill to put together an entertaining DMC set. DJ D did her thing, keep it up!

Damn!!!! Where that came from?

Fuck that first guy mate your a WANKER
@djidee Thanx for takin the time to comment :) much luv xx
@bigge525 no need to take things so seriously
I wouldn't do this ish if I couldn't have some fun with it, otherwise what's the point?
I never claimed to be the greatest female on the decks, and never will.
BUT I know I've worked hard enough over the last 13 years to be able to say I can hold it down amongst many of the boys & even happier to say I was the only female competitor holdin it down for ladies. That's enuff 4 me :)

I'm sorry, but male or female, that was pretty weak for the DMC. Shortee, Killa Jewel, those are World DMC turntablists, I can't see any reason for this girl to be there except she's cute. Didn't see anything but the most basic juggles, and scratches, just saying I don't think it's DMC quality.

@bigge525 noted & thanx for the comment, especially stating it so diplomatically :)
but don't forget this is 5-6 yrs ago, and I'm sure the standards back then in Australia really can't be compared to the standards in the US today. Nor am I claiming to be a DMC champ, although having placed 8th at this comp reinforces how the standards have changed - I'm sure I wouldn't have placed 8th with a set like that today!
Nonetheless thanx for checkin the vid and I'll be sure to post some new cuts soon
