There is no god... there is only Alton Brown.

Love his meatloaf recipe. I made it with ground turkey and it came out delicious. Will be making it today with beef and extra lean ground turkey mixed together!
-
He butchered that Lao Tzu quote...perhaps for the best.

Hamburger 101

Now that sounds like a plan,Mate!!

@poshi12 You can also grind the chuck with bacon.
I like my burgers topped with avocado slices, fresh cracked black pepper, and thousand island dressing. Always on a kaiser or a weck.
-
@surrealnumber you make an excellent point about there being less time for problems to develop with home ground meats!
-
his alignment looks off

ever since i got 2nd degree burns from a torrent of juice pouring out of a burger after the first bite, I patty smash the shit out of those things.

if im grinding my own beef i like thicker burgers. you dont want to under cook preground but there is a lost less time for little baddies to form if your grinding your own.

He says an inch and a half, but the words say 1/2. Probably not a big deal, though.
-
"If it just lays there and looks at you..."
I hate it when water does that, just looks at me. :)
