If you are crazy like me and you ride a very fast elevator for the first time, this happens. This elevator goes 1000 FPM!!! I walked out of the building nauseated it was so fast!!! This is at the Interstate Tower in Charlotte. I even confused this building with the Hearst Tower the elevator mixed me up so much.

What Happens...
1) You act like you are on a roller coaster.
2) You can't think straight for 15 minutes.
3) You get extremely dizzy.
4) You get sick.
5) You would want to ride again.

  • Quite fast!

  • You should come and see it. It is on W. Trade St.

  • that is what i call the atlanta effect when you ride slow elevators all the time and you get a taste of whats out there you will be searching for more

  • I call it the speed effect. When you are used to slow elevators, something like this would feel like you are on a rocket ship. That was you when you rode the elevators at the Capitol Center for the first time. The results, I WANT TO GO TO ATLANTA!!! I can't believe it that even 1000 FPM feels like you are on a rocket. If I go to the Bank of America Plaza in ATL, oh my god!!! John, you should go to Charlotte and whip up some videos.

  • Because I rode some fast one in Charlotte, now I want to go to Atlanta. This wasn't the only fast one I rode in Charlotte. I might go in two weeks. Chances are low now. By the way, we should meet sometime. No, I am not going to Charleston. It is more expensive than Atlanta!!!

  • that elevator is really fast!

  • Stop complaining, I've been on an 1800FPM for the first time (first time EVER on a traciton) and I didn't act like this! LOL

  • @escalatorgeek881 I've been on top of the Empire State Buliding before and the elevetaors go 427 m/min. But I didn't feel like I was on a rocket.

  • Wow. Is that really only 1200FPM? I've been on one that's 1800FPM for the FIRST TIME and haven't ridden an elevator thats 150FPM+, and I thought it was fun. No freakouts though.

  • Cela me fait plaisir !

  • That elevator was not really that fast, I am disappointed that I found innovation fixtures on these today :(

  • These go 1000 FPM, and are the third-fastest elevators in Charlotte. The fastest go 1200 FPM.

  • think this is more like 1000-1200 FPM.
