Here's a 10-minute movie I made with a friend in 1975 after seeing the George Pal Doc Savage film. Don't try to follow any type of plot because we pretty much made it up as we went along. We even had to re-film the ending because the original version was damaged at the photo lab.
Recently my son and I pulled the original Super 8mm film out of storage and added graphics and sound effects. This is what we came up with. We wanted to dub in voices but haven't had the time. As they say, hope you enjoy it as much as we did making it.
BTW, yes I do realize the film was released by Warner Brothers, but I like the 20th Century Fox opening better.
@kytodd. Ultimately we used 3 roles of film. The second role with the original ending was messed up by the lab so we had to do a quickie reshoot on a new role with the all new ending seen in the film. That's we suddenly jump from the desert (where the original "climactic battle" took place) to that concrete culvert in the end.
BTW, sorry it took a year to reply.

I think that I liked your film just as well as I liked the Pal film! Good triumphs over Evil, and Doc saves the day. Good job adding the graphics and sound. Looks like you had a fun time making it!

Nice. I remember using our Super 8mm in a similar manner a few times as well. I especially like looking at the art deco and the vehicles from that time. Thanks for sharing. Just curious but how many rolls of film did you use?
