In Memoriam

My sister's friend and my cousin's friend just died a few days ago. Their rooms locked, their house burnt. The tragedy is now a big thing in Medan. Stories are told of a maid who burnt down the house of her employer, burning down their children and dog. A maid who was left at home managed to escape from the fire.

They are only 15 and 14 years old. The girl, Tasya, was 2 days short of her birthday when this happened. Their parents were in Macau/Hongkong and was planning to surprise her with a lot of presents, etc. But now they get the unfortunate surprise instead.

I don't know any of these people, but am moved by this tragic event. I've decided to "steal" the photos that she uploaded on her friendster account and make a short slideshow.

May they rest in peace, and the parents and family be strong in facing this.

The tune is Londonderry air, but I like the lyrics to the same song of the song "Danny Boy". The lyrics:

i've got the latest news,if there is anyone still see this,reply the comment.the maid may be will got a very light sentences just b'cos she is underage.i don't know how come,but i think it's really not fair.

Well, I guess it gives her the chance to start over. Hopefully she doesn't mess up. That's the only thing we'd hope. Any idea how the family members (esp. parents) are reacting to this?

I heard that she has confessed to plan to murder the other maid, however she forgot that the two kids were sleeping. Sounds like a lame excuse, but oh well.

Death sentence is still ridiculous IMHO...

i think death sentence will be appropriate for the maid. come on, you killed two teenagers, you burnt a house and a car...can you imagine how's the feeling of the parents?

it is baffle from me , in news paper said , the servant said she didn't want to murder tasya and melvin, but why the servant lock the door from outside, so the tasya and melvin can't open the door..i think the servant is very very evil.why she had a hearth. i hope the servant can mindful, conscious.R.I.P NATASSYA & MELVIN.

they called their grandma before they died from lack of oxygen but unfortunately when their grandma got there they were dead already. their mum fainted when she saw her children dead bodies. its really sad
