why only 5 sec.

u can put it into water and just cut it. or you can use big hammer so the speaker is destroyed before it will make any noise.

you might even be able to jam an ice pick in the holes where the speaker is and stop the sound altogether.... cool idea... but the alarm and be silenced...

I know someone that bought one.... all you got to do is put some play dough or silly putty over the end and it kills the sound...

How about a lock that will alarm when you try to cut the cable and motion alarm as well.
