Goods train hauled by 3 KiwiRail 'DX' Class diesel electric locos, moving slowly and carefully (due to speed restriction because of weight of 'DX' locos) over the Makakahi viaduct, just north of Eketahuna, Wairarapa, New Zealand on Thursday 30 Dec 2010. The train was heading towards Woodville, and would normally have gone via the main trunk route through the Manawatu, but due to work being done on the line between Wellington and Waikanae all goods traffic was diverted north through the Wairarapa over the period 26 Dec 2010 to 9 Jan 2011.
