Eighty percent of Yogi's dialogue was half-mental...
-
Dick Van Dyke simply could not do accents. He doesn't sound anything like a Southerner here -- it's almost as bad as his Cockney accent in Mary Poppins. Almost but not quite.

Wasn't it Yogi who was the captain of that ship that tipped over? MAMA MIA!

The accent on Penis Van Lesbian.

@TitaniumByFire And I thought he was a nice guy with a good sense of humor...what goes around comes around, his son turned out to be a drug addict.

The minor-league team for New Orleans was the Pelicans-a NY Yankees team...My dad was a Yankees fan. When I lived in Chicago, people would spot my dad's Yankees watch that I wore, and they would ask: "You're from the south, and you like the Yankees?"

@stevechasmar I agree. I'm from Louisiana and believe me, nobody here sounds anything like Dick Van Dyke's character in this clip.
-
@ShiksaWithChutzpah1 FYI, the guy that made Bilko also made McHale's! And secondly, they episode wiggly is referring to is from Bilko, called "The Horse"

Yogi bera was an antisocial asshole to me when I was 12. He walked right by me and refused to give me an autograph.
-
@stevechasmar Most people can't get the southern accent right, it sounds too overdone and cheesy.
-
They sure don't make shows and combedy actors like this anymore

@toonguy85 Hahaha! Well played...
This is priceless, I'm a HUGE Yankee fan & have thought about this clip for years. Now I get to see it again! Love Yogi, in fact, we just got a puppy and named him Yogi.

My father wants to know do you have the clip of Bilko training the horse for a race and it was driving the jeep witnessed by the colonel?

I'm not sure. That actually sounds like an episode of McHale's Navy. Of course McN borrowed heavily from Bilko.

See you do not need a show to be rude to be funny

If only Hollywood figured that out by now.
