These gorgeous yellow-spotted flat (polydesmidae family) millipedes are native to the Eastern US and parts of Canada. In this video, they are shown under UV light. Specimens from different localities can display varying patterns of spots. It is a characteristic of the species to have lines of yellow spots running down the margins of their bodies, but the subspecies in the video also has them down the median. This intense yellow is a warning to predators that they are poisonous. This same species is displayed in normal light in my non-UV video for the species, here on YouTube.
