it's called whatever you want since electronic subgenre are all kinda melted :)
stop fight "this is not x it's y" it has no meaning...
but many prog people of the 90's played this kind of tracks anyway, or stuff like Chris Cowie... i guess detroit people play that too...
btw the beat is more housy than techy and it's not from a detroit guy :)
