Obviously this is a wee late. But I personally drive a 2007 9-3 2.0T and there is no STOCK civic that can even come close to beating my turbo. Oh and the notion that small turbos are slow is complete stupidity. Yeah they won't get 20 pounds of boost. But my turbo will kick in at least 1,000 rpm sooner than any larger turbo out there. AND horsepower is not all that determines acceleration. Torque accounts more for 0-60 times.
Why is it that their is always some duche bag like you that needs to pipe in about your 600 HP rolling piece of garbage? You are just mad because I beat you the other night in my SAAB at the races, your car is fast but 600 HP did not do you any good....and If your bringing that to the discussion makes you feel better "because you lost"!!!than you are an idiot, trans am..... more like Trans gender issues. That car needs to go on a diet anyway....You lost big time man.
Actually, a 9-3 will easily take an SI. A type R has a few more horses and is lighter, so it's just off of that. The in reality the SI isn't rocking too much.0
Brandonrm4, as much as I don't want to hate on you since we share the same name, but a stock Saab 93 does not have a T3 and it is not called stage 1.
saab's do no use a t3 garret and yes 200+hp on a 2500lb car would beat a 200hp that weighs 3100lbs congrats no one is bashing civics unless you put r badges and a huge wing and forgot to actually do anything to your car that makes it go fast
Saab will eat the civic. I do it all the time. Now that Im tuned, I do it more.

The '99 9-3 uses a Garrett T25 turbo, tiny as hell.

no offense, but civics aren't fast, the only thing they are good for is gas mileage!

I don't know about a Type R, but I know that a stock SI cannot rock a 9-3. Don't argue with me on that please.
