Who cares where you claim you are from and who started what? Its all about having fun and nothing more. Stop trying to claim something thats not even important. Besides, steppin has only been a recognized dance since 1990. What were people thinking they were doing before then?

Oh My God. I almost got up and danced in my office. That was simply fantastic. All the couples were great especially, the couple in white, the couple with the guy in the red slacks AND the couple with the guy in the grey shirt. Now that brother was smooooooth.

Why is everyone so surprised or giving props to Chicago. They do their thing no doubt, but in Detroit this has been going down for decades and we call it Ballrooming. It's nothing but the old hustle from the 60's - 70's which came from the south back in the 30's/40's in the juke joints. Our beautiful black grandparents brought it with them from the south during the great black migration to the north and our parents and now us have simply flipped it with modern moves. No city holds the patent
