Part 1

In this video we will look at how to create a website layout in AdobePhotoshop CS5 and then export it as html and images ready to be imported into Adobe Dreamweaver CS5. In Dreamweaver we will add links to the buttons and edit some of the other settings. I hope that the microphone is working properly in
this video, when I tested it on my computer it worked fine but I don't know if uploading it to YouTube will lose some of the audio quality. If you have any queries please leave a comment. Also don't forget to rate and subscribe. Thanks.

  • Thanks so much Thomas, I'll see how I'll go. You've been such a great help!

  • @monasparx Your welcome! Thanks, Thomas

  • I have 9 different Photoshop files so I suppose I should slice, optimise and save for web each of them separately - then I will have 9 html files but how about the Images folder - do all images automatically go into the same folder or do I need to create separate folders? My logic tells me one flder (just as all html files are in the same root folder) but I am not 100%... I hope that makes sense? :)

  • @monasparx Yes you should put them all in one folder and keep that images folder in your root folder. Hope that helps! If it doesn't work PM me and I'll try and help! Thanks, Thomas

  • This was actually quite helpful! Thank you so much! I just have one question - with multiple subpages, do I need to save the files for each subpage in a separate images folder or do they go all in the same one? Cheers!

  • @monasparx By what you say I think you should put them all in the same folder but if you can explain more i'll try and be more help. Sorry! Thanks, Thomas

  • Great Video! Thanks so much for the help!

Please email if you get a chance!

  • Thanks for getting back to me; what I mean is: I have created a website with 9 subpages, each subpage is slightly different (meaning, on each subpage the active page link button has a diferent color and also there is a subheader which displays the name of the subpage, the rest is all the same across all pages). This is the first time I am creating a webpage from a Photoshop layout and I am afraid I should have done a bit more reading prior to starting but it's a bit too late now :-| ....

  • This was actually quite helpful! Thank you so much! I just have one question - with multiple subpages, do I need to save the files for each subpage in a separate images folder or do they go all in the same one? Cheers!
