Street painting by Lori Escalera

Lorie Escalera has centered her artistic career in Southern California.
Neighbors would hire her to paint portraits in pastel and oil at an early age.
Since 1976 Lori Escalera has been a full time graphic designer and artist.
Lori's love for art and history has taken her to the mediterranean to study history, culture, artists and artwork.
Lori Escalera's artistic interests are figurative.
They revolve around the study of the figure, and the modern artist's place in the continuum of art history.
Lori works in a variety of wet and dry medium on paper, canvas and ceramic.
Her works takes on an energy and vibrancy that refreshes the spirit and enlivens the imagination.

Among Lori Escalera's other vocations are her writing abilities, teaching and photographic skills.
She has taught thousands of children and adults her ideas about art, art history and drawing through public and private lessons.
In 1995, Lori organized "The Culver City A.R.T. Group",
and served as its founding president.
Lori Escalera is responsible for a variety of murals and public art, and coordinated art exhibits in business, school, college and public platforms.
Lori also is a Board of Director Emeritus for Ballona Creek Renaissance in Los Angeles.
Lori Escalera has become an internationally recognized Madonnari artist, participating in chalk street painting festivals around the country and in China.
