Cochlear Implant Bilateral Activation Reaction

This is my reaction from going to Bilateral Cochlear Implants, its a huge advance from using hearing aids. I'm so thankful such technology exists to give me a second chance in hearing all the beautiful things in the world once again!! I went deaf from unknown causes, most likely genetic and this is just awesome to be able to hear things that I haven't been able to hear since High School!

Thanks for sharing! I just got my first CI switched on 3 days ago... :) Im getting all these helium-filled/Beeping sounds happening but I know it'll take some time to get used to with the constant adjustments.

How do you find it now? Do you have clarity?

@natcoolkat Hello, sorry I haven't been checking YouTube lately because I'm just swamped at work. The Helium effect will fade over time, just give your brain time to adapt. I'm very happy with mine although my right ear still has some catching up to do to the first implant which I've had for 3 years now. It can take as long as 3-4 years before you finally plateau out so be patient. Hope this helps you a little. Good luck and enjoy hearing all the new sounds!! :)
