Because you and only a few other fools accept odds that are so ludicrous you cannot longer be objective. No one takes people who ignore the obvious, just because their bias, serious.
You dont see that because your one of those biased nutjobs.
Just look at your 3rd grade notion that God as creator is a product of past idiots--yet every one of the 6 billion people who believe the universe was created has modern knowledge.
Look for an excuse for yourself--your the weirdo

What a waste of an unused mind.

We fall very short of any real education and enlightenment so religion fills in the blanks. Religion is based on some kind of truth but distorted by ego is shatters rather than combined. There is a lot of science hidden behind religion, the only the priests can have true knowledge of what is behind the religon. Example, the church had a observatory while others were persecuted for having the same thing, power game. They are also real big on the unknown and use the fear for manipulation.

@nibus126 No. They can't. The superposition of point sources makes neither for the near perfect black body spectrum of the CMB, nor does is result in the observed polarization of that.

@998SBayliss All forms of critical thinking and all attempts to strive for objectivity are anathema to the social and political aims of organised religion.
Priests and their magic books can't control minds which are capable of rational thought as easily, therefore it is discouraged in any way possible.

zillions of zillions of supernovas can make make more background radiation than a hypothetical big-bang
I continue to be amazed by the seepage of religion into every scientifically oriented video/discussion on You Tube and at such a colloquial level! (Feynman's thought). I have lost my optimism with regard to the future ...of this country specifically. WHY do SOOO many people need a fairly tail and a bad one at that to believe in. I can understand it as in ancient times but we are supposed to be educated, enlightened, etc. We need to break the early-life inundation with religious nonsense.

@konman001 Biblic prophesies are often not very specific, and actually very likely to happen when given an unspecified amount of time. Eg. I got some accurate prediction about my life in my local newspaper: the horoscope column.
