The original 1934 version was written and performed by Hubert R Charles (aka Lion) on the Melotone label. He recorded it with Gerald Clarke in '41 for Decca and then again in '45 for Guild (also Musicraft).
I believe this version is actually Sir Lancelot & Gerald Clark... definitely Clarke's band but it doesn't quite sound like Hubert himself.
